I'm not a big fan of kale, but I could see it being good on something like an omelet. Thinning seedlings always feels a bit mean and cutthroat, but... alas. It makes for better, healthier plants in the end!

So frustrating when characters aren't exactly cooperating in something you're working on. I'd say that it would be worthwhile to dig into where the hostility is coming from from Trevor's perspective, but it sounds like you're already doing that! I hope that they start playing nice, haha (In terms of the writing, though I suppose eventually they'll get there in the plot!)
